ɫɫÑо¿Ëù’s Career Development Center is poised to lend advice and share resources to help students throughout their educational journeys.

With nearly 50 one- and two-year degrees and career certificate programs, Johnson County Community College prepares students for their futures and commits to giving them the tools they need to make career-minded decisions throughout their educational journeys.

Enter ɫɫÑо¿Ëù’s Career Development Center. With many soon-to-be graduates pursuing new opportunities, both students and employers can take advantage of the College’s career resources.

Student career services

When it comes to making transformative educational and career decisions, such as selecting a major or accepting a first job, ɫɫÑо¿Ëù’s Career Development Center is poised to lend advice on the following topics:

  • Investigating majors and careers: With the help of the Career Development Center, students can find out information about ɫɫÑо¿Ëù’s programs and discover potential jobs related to various areas of study. For students looking for further clarity, ɫɫÑо¿Ëù offers experiential learning opportunities, including informational interviews, job shadowing and service learning, so they can gain real-world experience.
  • Finding internships and jobs: ɫɫÑо¿Ëù has a free job-posting database – JobLinks – managed by the Career Development Center. Job and internship seekers can visit this site to view current openings.
  • Assisting with résumés, cover letters and interviews: Students are encouraged to bring drafts of their résumés and cover letters to the Career Development Center for review – no appointment necessary. And when it comes to interviews, practice makes perfect. Students have access to an online system aimed at improving interview skills, and they can also participate in mock interviews.
